Pick a band/act not a theme - What we mean by that is, If you have a theme for your Midlands Wedding or Event - great! but pick a Midlands Wedding band that plays music you like, and that you think your guests will like and dance to, if you have a theme don't restrict yourself to fitting in with that theme, as by that stage of the evening, all people want to do is hear good music and dance!!

Try and imagine NOT what your favourite songs are - but what songs you love to dance to - it's much easier to say what song you love than to understand whether or not people will dance to it. Many people pick their requests based on their favourites, but quite often they clear the dance floor. Our advice would be pick a few of your favourites, but let your DJ or band do their job> If they are doing it correctly, they will  judge the crowd and pick songs that are appropriate for the night.

What Equipment and Lighting do they bring? - All Wedding bands Midlands we provide will have their own PA (speakers) and equipment for the booking they are undertaking, this goes the same for the Midlands Wedding DJs. In terms of lighting, all bands will have lighting to light themselves, but not necessarily for the whole room. DJs will have lighting for themselves and the dance floor. Noise Restrictions at my Venue - What do I do? - Some Midlands Wedding Venues, as do other venues in other areas have noise restrictions placed upon them by the local council. This can be in the form of a simple restriction to not have amplified music outside, to a noise compression system, or to a noise limiter (which measures the volume in the room and cuts the power off if the noise exceeds that volume). Our professional Midlands Wedding Bands are fully aware of how these systems all work, and we are here to advise you on the best course of action. Some of Bandtube's Wedding bands are specifically set up to be able to work under these conditions and we have a great range of them. If your venue tell you that they have one of these in place, let us know when you enquire and we can help you book the best band or act for that venue.

Can the band play our first dance? - It greatly depends on the band and the song really. Some Wedding bands Midlands are happy to do so for free but some will charge you for it, others may want to see if the song is suitable for them to perform for you before agreeing to it. However, all of our bands will be able to have it played for you on the night (either live or from an MP3)

Can we pick from the bands repertoire? - Most of our Midlands Wedding bands allow clients to pick their favourites, some will allow you to pick the entire set!

What happens when the band are not performing? will there just be silence? - All bands offer some sort of music in between and around sets, be that a full DJing service, or a playlist plugged in, which usually you can have an input around prior to the event. The other option would be to book one of our Wedding DJs from Midlands, a great addition and peace of mind to know you have a professional running the show for you! You can have a look at them here

How do I go about booking a Midlands Wedding Band or DJ? - Once you have sent us an enquiry, we will check the date with the act and come back to you with a price. Following that, if you decide to go ahead, we will send you information from our online booking system, a digital contract will follow for you to sign - you get a copy and we do, and then you pay the 20% deposit by BACS - it is all incredibly simple!!

What costs are involved and are there any hidden ones? - When you are booking a Midlands Wedding Band or DJ, usually the total price is comprised of the fee for the act and then potentially travel/ parking/ accommodation if these things are required, but you will be notified of these with your initial quote. We are not VAT registered as an organisation but some of our acts are, but you will be informed of this when you get the prices. Other than these factors, there is nothig else for you to consider.

We want something more relaxing in the daytime as well - is that possible? Yes of course it is! Some Wedding Bands Midlands can offer these options as part of an all day package, but some can't. In this instance, we have many fantastic Wedding Singers Midlands or String Quartets that you can have a look at and see if they are what you fancy!

Our Midlands Wedding Venue are asking for certificates - What are they and will the band have them? - Its standard in the industry nowadays for venues to ask for Public Liability Insurance and PAT testing certificates. All professional Midlands Wedding Bands will have these and can provide them for you no problem!

Our venue finishes at 1am is that ok? - Most Wedding Bands Midlands and DJs will have a policy on this, so make sure you let us know the accurate finish time of your event when you enquire and we can let you know if there is a cost implication involved
