About Us
The AK Swing Band sensational and ever-growing repertoire combines the finest age-less popular music with vintage styles covering the "Gatsby" era, Sinatra / Bublé / RatPack, the blues & grooves of New Orleans and the dance-floor-filling Jive & Rock 'n' Roll of the 1950s... Vintage can be the material or simply the style as the group surprise you constantly with clever and fun versions of great pop tunes right up to current hits.
The AK Swing band is made up of some of the finest and most versatile and diverse musicians in the UK. These guys have and continue to work with artists ranging from the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, Gloria Gaynor, Claire Teal, Corinne Bailey Rae, Atomic Kitten to West End smash hits Rat Pack Live From Las Vegas and the Magic of Motown.
With line-up options from 4 to 8 piece, The AK Swing Band can bring their inimitable style to any stage; any space; any venue; any event. Each line-up can be fronted by male vocals, female vocals or a combination of both.

REPERTOIRE
The AK Swing Band have spent many years honing, growing and perfecting a huge repertoire of classic and contemporary music for their performances. In 2019, the band took on a new and exciting re-launch, which we hope and believe has enhanced our versatility even further and made the band more engaging and adaptable to our clients & venues.
The repertoire and style of The AK Swing Band is now divided into four areas of speciality. Each of these can make up an entire show for your themed event OR our complete vintage package can draw upon the best of each area to make for an amazing evening of live music.
None of this is ever complete or exclusive - we are always adding new material and take great pleasure in adding special requests for wedding couples & corporate clients.

Having fantastic music was a really important part of our wedding day and so after listening to The The Swingtones we knew we had found the right band for us. They really embraced the tone of our wedding, adjusting the music to suit us and our guests. The afternoon performance at the end of our meal was just beautiful and provided something really intimate and special for our day guests. Once the evening performances commenced it was clear everyone wanted to dance and the band did justice to all the swing classics, making sure the dance floor was constantly full!
The band manager Phil, even added a last minute saxophonist to perform for us which was completely unexpected and absolutely brilliant! And as if they hadn't done enough already, they played all the songs we had requested as part of the DJ playlist we had provided. Inviting a band to provide the soundtrack for your wedding day is nerve racking; however The The Swingtones took any stress away and handled themselves in a lovely and professional manner - I even had guests ask for their details so they could organise an event just so they could come and perform! Thank you for making our day so special for us, our families and our guests. xxx

It was certainly a treat to have The The Swingtones playing at our recent 40th wedding anniversary party. They played 2 x 45 min sets - the first was swing which set the mood perfectly for the lunch and then a soul/modern set to follow the meal which very few of the party could resist getting up and dancing to. Wonderful vocals backed by Phil and the excellent band - great music and nice people which helped make it a day to remember for all.
