Bio
B4B is a professional four-piece ceilidh band based in the Northwest of England. They play a wide range of traditional music for dancing.
They specialise in ceilidhs and barn dances for weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, folk festivals, PTAs, and corporate events. In fact any social gathering you are planning, from very large events to small gatherings.
With their talented caller we will make your dance go with a swing - or a waltz or even a reel - whether you fancy an Irish, Scottish or English flavour for your event!
Ceilidh
Ceili, Cèilidh, Ceilidh or Céilí? How you spell it rather depends on where you come from, but everyone pronounces it ‘kay-lee.’ It's a gathering for music and dance and a great way to ensure that everyone at your event gets together in a friendly atmosphere.
The caller walks you through each dance, explaining what to do, then ‘calls’ the steps and supervises the dancing once it starts. The object is to have fun, so getting the steps absolutely right is neither expected nor demanded.
Anyone who can move around the dance floor can take part. Ceildh dancing is pretty easy to pick up, so no previous experience is needed. A ceilidh is particularly suitable for groups of mixed ages. The dances are pattern dances and might be done in lines, squares and circles. Many are progressive, which means that couples change partners regularly during the dance.
They normally split the evening into periods of 45 to 60 minutes, playing a tune in between dances if you wish, to allow you to get your breath back! They are happy to organise the ceilidh to fit in with your disco, refreshments or any other activities you have planned. If in doubt you can speak to the band before the date to discuss all your requirements.
This is your event and we aim to ensure it runs smoothly and successfully.

'Thanks so much for a brilliant evening, you and the rest of the band were fantastic! All the guests were raving about the ceilidh and how much fun they had. Really wouldn't have been the same without you, if there's anywhere we can leave a review please let us know.'
