The RUSH

The RUSH are one of the North West’s most established and exciting live bands, fronted by lead singer Gavin Jones and featuring some of the finest professional musicians from Manchester and across the UK.
With well over a decade of experience performing together, The RUSH have built their reputation doing what they do best — turning weddings, parties, corporate events and packed live shows into proper gigs.
The band’s set is anything but predictable. Indie and rock anthems sit alongside pop, soul, funk, dance and hip-hop, with songs often reworked into The RUSH’s own medleys and mashups. Expect everything from Arctic Monkeys, The Smiths and Kings of Leon to Chappell Roan, RAYE, Eminem, 50 Cent, The Prodigy and Queen — all performed completely live.

The musicians behind The RUSH bring an enormous amount of professional experience to the stage, with members having performed and toured alongside major artists including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Take That, Michael Bublé, Beverley Knight, Olly Murs and Rizzle Kicks, amongst others.

The band were crowned The Wedding Industry Awards North West Band of the Year and were chosen to perform at the official Coronation Street Live aftershow party. Frontman Gavin Jones also appeared on ITV’s The X Factor, subsequently appearing on Lorraine following one of the show's more memorable early exits.
Today, The RUSH perform throughout the UK as anything from their core live band through to larger line-ups featuring sax and additional musicians. They can also build an entire event around the live show, with acoustic music and DJ/Sax options available alongside the band.

What has never changed is the reason people book The RUSH: a brilliant live band, a packed dance floor and a performance that feels like a gig rather than a function.
