With a set spanning the decades, I can tailor the music to suit your event having had over two years of experience working full-time at a variety of venues - whether that be a wedding, birthday party, bar, restaurant or private function. His soulful and powerful vocal, allied with a distinct percussive style of guitar playing, can provide calm and energy in equal measure – to suit any kind of event. He is influenced by the Motown greats, but has a wide repertoire covering all your favourite songs from the 1950’s to the present day. Reviews Having fantastic music was a really important part of our wedding day and so after listening to The The Swingtones we knew we had found the right band for us. They really embraced the tone of our wedding, adjusting the music to suit us and our guests. The afternoon performance at the end of our meal was just beautiful and provided something really intimate and special for our day guests. Once the evening performances commenced it was clear everyone wanted to dance and the band did justice to all the swing classics, making sure the dance floor was constantly full! The band manager Phil, even added a last minute saxophonist to perform for us which was completely unexpected and absolutely brilliant! And as if they hadn't done enough already, they played all the songs we had requested as part of the DJ playlist we had provided. Inviting a band to provide the soundtrack for your wedding day is nerve racking; however The The Swingtones took any stress away and handled themselves in a lovely and professional manner - I even had guests ask for their details so they could organise an event just so they could come and perform! Try and imagine NOT what your favourite songs are - but what songs you love to dance to - it's much easier to say what song you love than to understand whether or not people will dance to it. Many people pick their requests based on their favourites, but quite often they clear the dance floor. Our advice would be pick a few of your favourites, but let your DJ or band do their job> If they are doing it correctly, they will judge the crowd and pick songs that are appropriate for the night. What Equipment and Lighting do they bring? - All Wedding bands London we provide will have their own PA (speakers) and equipment for the booking they are undertaking, this goes the same for the London Wedding DJs. In terms of lighting, all bands will have lighting to light themselves, but not necessarily for the whole room. DJs will have lighting for themselves and the dance floor. If you wish to hire further lighting (uplighter etc) that is absolutely no problem - Luminate Events can help with this - www.luminate-events.co.uk Noise Restrictions at my Venue - What do I do? - Some London Wedding Venues, as do other venues in other areas have noise restrictions placed upon them by the local council. This can be in the form of a simple restriction to not have amplified music outside, to a noise compression system, or to a noise limiter (which measures the volume in the room and cuts the power off if the noise exceeds that volume). Our professional London Wedding Bands are fully aware of how these systems all work, and we are here to advise you on the best course of action.
