The RUSH Wedding Band: Jamie and Rebecca's Wedding in the Lancashire Sunshine!!
Weddings are brilliant right? but Weddings in the most amazing sunshine in the Lake District - Now you are talking!! The RUSH Manchester Wedding band performed at The Villa at Levens, Lancashire on Saturday (4th June 2016), we were booked for all day, so acoustic duo in the daytime, 5 piece band in the evening augmented with my DJ service.
Pulling up to The Villa, it's absolutely amazing, loads of character and we were greeted by Jane and her lovely staff who looked after us all day! The weather being so glorious meant that we could play outside! Winner! The guests arrived followed by the special couple, in a vintage Rolls Royce looking a Billion dollars, courtesy of the multi talented Flossy & Leigh - Wedding Make-up - what an incredible day to be a wedding band in the lancashire sunshine!
We continued to perform our acoustic versions of classic songs old and new, and at one stage even sparked the curiosity of a herd of cows, who congregated at the nearest corner they could to us! very bizarre., I'm just glad there was a fence blocking their path!
At this point the fabulous Manchester Magician Sam Fitton was performing his amazing tricks and illusions, together with his sharp wit, he had the guests enthralled as always!
As the sun started to cool down, we moved in to the evening part of the day, and as the evening guests arrived, you got the sense that this was going to be a great night. The afternoon passed very happily mainly due to the excellent company of Tom from Silk Wedding Films and Laura and Pete from Lawson Photography, its great when you meet brilliant and talented suppliers!
The evening went off with a bang, Rebecca and Jamie had us perform 'You and I' by John Legend as their first dance, with indoor fireworks cascading as they danced.

The guests really responded to us and danced the night away through our performance. However, the evening reached a crescendo when while DJing I played that new, astounding phenomenon that is 'Will Grigg's on Fire' (Been requested twice this weekend, and it even cost me 79p to buy it from iTunes!!!??)
A great day and a truly lovely couple, an absolute pleasure to have been part of it! Like I always say, what a job we have!!!
